TARGET ISSUES
EFFECTIVE AND ACTIONABLE
My experience as a small business owner has also taught me the importance of practical, effective decision-making. Our local government should reflect that same approach: clear goals, decisive action, and results that everyone can see. We’re at a point where we need to make important decisions—not just study issues but take action that will benefit our town for years to come.
Specific topics to be focused on
- Assuring that our future growth enhances but never compromises, our small-town ambiance.
- Ensuring that our policies, procedures, and ordinances all work in concept to broaden our commercial tax base and reduce the property tax burden of homeowners.
- The long overdue revitalization of the midtown district by developing an action plan that engenders complimentary growth to our downtown.
- Moving beyond the planning and studying of issues to actually address the critical infrastructure needs in stormwater drainage, water, and sewer treatments.
- Giving more attention to the physical appearance of our town, allowing us to take pride in the place we call home, but also helping us to attract new businesses.
- Making sure that we are good stewards of our town’s natural and financial resources.
